Daily Postcard: A coyote strolls in the fall sunshine around Bandelier National Monument. As members of the canine family, it is not unusual to discover that they have many characteristics similar to pet dogs. Coyotes are omnivores, eating pretty much whatever they can find. Although secretive, they don’t shy away from living in close contact with humans, and why it is important to keep campsites and picnic areas clean to discourage these wild animals from frequent contact with visitors.
