Los Alamos has a new barbershop business, Kylee’s Atomic Fades, and it’s holding its grand opening this weekend with a 2-day bang!

“We are going to have specials, giveaways, food trucks, and fun for the whole family,” Owner Kylee Franks said. “The entire community is invited!”

The special event is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The activities will take place in the parking lot just outside the salon as well as inside the new barbershop space.

As part of the festivities, the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Kylee’s new business at noon on Saturday. Chamber Director Sandy Jones said she is really excited to see this vibrant new business opening in Los Alamos.

Kylee’s Atomic Fades space is decorated with a retro-atomic vibe in a separate space inside Venusto Salon at 555 Oppenheimer Drive, Suite 102-B. She offers precision haircuts, specialty fades, beard trims, and more—all with a modern twist on classic barbershop tradition.

“We’re thrilled to bring a fresh, welcoming space to the community where style meets personality,” Kylee said.
