6th Annual Music Marathon Raises Money For UNM-LA Scholarships 2-8 p.m. Jan. 31

Music lovers can spend the afternoon of Sunday, Jan. 31 listening to local musicians while raising scholarship funds for students attending the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos. The 6th Annual Music Marathon runs 2-8 p.m., in the UNM-LA student center, in building 2.

The band lineup includes The Craig Martin Experience, The Pajarito String Band, Higher Ground, The Double A Trio and the Brave New Brass. Several musicians will be playing solos and duets, including Juanita Madland, Kay Newnam, Bruce Warren, Robin Gurule, Cindy Little, Mandy Marksteiner, Robin Gurule, Joy Charles, Aaron Anderson and many others.

The event is free to the public, but donations to the Music Marathon Scholarship Fund will be gratefully accepted. The fund has been steadily growing for the past few years. For more information about the scholarship, contact Jenny Duran, the Financial Aid Officer at UNM-LA.

To mail a gift, include a letter designating the Music Marathon Scholarship Fund as the reason for the donation and mail the letter and donation to: Cynthia J. Rooney, Interim Chief Executive Officer, UNM-Los Alamos, 4000 University Dr., Los Alamos, NM 87544.
