41st Annual Corrida De Los Locos 5-Mile Race March 7

The Santa Fe Striders are proud to announce the 41st Annual Corrida de Los Locos 5-mile race and free 1-mile kids fun run scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026. This year’s event is open to runners and walkers to participate in an event that offers scenic views of the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

The 5-mile race will begin at 8 am at the Municipal Recreation Sports Complex – 205 Caja Del Rio Road. The course is out and back on the historic El Camino Real Trail. The 1-mile free kids fun run will start after the 5-mile race is over.

“We are incredibly excited for this year’s race.” Jenny Day said, Race Director. “The race celebrates the accomplishments of local student athletes eligible for the Santa Fe Striders Scholarship program.”

Race Day Highlights:

  • Packet Pickup: 7–7:50 a.m., March 7
  • Race Day Registration: 7–7:50 a.m., March 7
  • 5 Mile Race Start: 8 a.m. at Municipal Recreation Sports Complex
  • 1 Mile Kids Fun Run: 9:15 a.m. at Municipal Recreation Sports Complex
  • Post-Race Festivities: Awards Ceremony
  • Online Registration is open until March 5 at $45 / Race day registration is $50

Founded in 1978 is dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle through running in Northern New Mexico. The Striders offer 3 free races for kids age 3-14 years of all abilities and gender.

Santa Fe Striders Scholarship Program

This is the 6th year for the Santa Fe Scholarship Program. $34,000 has been awarded to local graduating seniors who have been selected by the Striders Scholarship Committee.
