2024 National Adult Protective Services Conference To Be Held At Albuquerque Convention Center Sept. 16-18

SANTA FE – The 2024 National Adult Protective Services conference will be held Sept.16-8 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

This year’s event will bring together professionals from across the country dedicated to protecting adults from abuse, neglect and exploitation. The programming will feature a wide range of sessions, workshops and presentations by leading experts in the field of adult protective services, offering valuable opportunities for networking, education and professional development.

“We are honored to have New Mexico chosen as the host location for this year’s conference,” said New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) Cabinet Secretary Jen Paul Schroer. “Our state is deeply committed to safeguarding the well-being of our older adults and adults with disabilities, and this conference represents a critical opportunity to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions with our colleagues nationwide.”

Some topics to be covered at the conference include the latest research and policy developments in APS, strategies for improving service delivery, and new approaches to addressing the unique challenges faced by serving this population. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in special sessions focused on the intersection of APS with other sectors, including healthcare, law enforcement, and social services.
