LTC Kyle Trottier, a 2001 graduate of Los Alamos High School and son of Andre and Cherie Trottier of Los Alamos, changed command of 1-37 Armored Regiment 2nd Brigade, First Armored Division, May 22, 2025 at Fort Bliss Texas. LTC Trottier completed a 2-year command and missions training of more than 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers in Germany 2024, completing fleet modernization of all unit M1 tanks, and a highly successful deployment to the National Training Center. LTC Trottier is now assigned as the G3 Operations Officer for the First Armored Division and responsible for Training/Operations for more than 38,000 soldiers assigned to the division at Fort Bliss.
