Staff Report:

Now in its 11th year, 100 Women Who Care – Los Alamos gathered Feb. 12 in the Student Center at UNM-Los Alamos for its first quarterly charitable dinner event of 2026.

Enterprise Bank & Trust sponsored the charitable event, which included dinner for the women gathered. Enterprise Bank & Trust President/Los Alamos Region Liddie Martinez served as Emcee for the evening. She delivered welcoming remarks and introduced speakers from three local non-profit organizations, including Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO), Los Alamos Arts Council, and Pajarito Environmental Education Center.

The women selected LARSO following Executive Director Ramon Garcia’s presentation, during which he detailed his organization’s plan to assist 70 senior residents in need of organizing, clearing away debris, tidying up their residences, and lifting their spirits. The women donated $4,220 for LARSO’s noble project.

The group also listened to a cell phone talk from Mesa to Mesa Executive Director Jon Bulthuis, last quarter’s selected non-profit, in which he shared how the donation received was utilized.
