The Los Alamos Film and Culture Festival (LAFCF) Board is pleased to present their inaugural international film festival event, April 28-May 5, 2024, at SALA Event Center, 2551 Central Ave.

This inaugural year brings 20 films from 14 different countries to Los Alamos and provides multiple opportunities for ‘meet and greets’ with the filmmakers, Q & A discussions, and cultural attractions. The full schedule for the Festival, along with information about the individual films, is available on the Festival website. 

The kick-off Welcome Brunch is 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 28 at Fuller Lodge (2132 Central Ave.), and will host actor and filmmaker Matthew Modine, who stars in the film “The Martini Shot” featured this year. Many will recognize Modine as Vannevar Bush in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”. Enjoy mimosas with Matthew by purchasing a VIP Festival Pass, which includes the brunch, all 20 films and festival events.

Filmmakers are coming to Los Alamos, New Mexico from all over the world to feature their films. Over 14 different countries and cultures are highlighted, including Italy, Ukraine, China, Ireland, and local Native American cultures. The LAFCF is part of a four-city film festival event across New Mexico, including Santa Fe Film Festival, T or C Film Fiesta, and Femme Frontera (Las Cruces).

Tickets are on sale now for VIP Festival Passes, which include all eight days of the event, including 20 films, a talk with the filmmakers, the VIP Welcome Brunch, and cultural attractions for just $60 per person. LAFCF is a new organization, inviting the community to join filmmakers from across the world as they present their films and share behind-the-scenes information about each story and production.
