Welcome home toppers! We are back home after a long road trip that included Gallup, Santa Fe, and Del Norte.

Our toppers went 2-1 with a big win at Gallup. Our offense was exciting and our defense was strong in the two wins! Tonight we are back at home against Academy and are ready to continue our winning ways!

Tonight toppers we get a look to the future while enjoying the present! Tonight is our Youth Football night! We will get a glimpse at some up and coming football players and cheerleaders from the middle school and from our very own Los Alamos Youth football League!

Starting at our middle school. Coach Jones has a huge team of 56. This is exciting news for us topper fans who would love to see the participation numbers go up! The boys are pretty evenly split between seventh and eighth graders, and will go into their final game at Escalante this week having a 5-1 record.

Their only loss coming by way of a 2 point conversion in double overtime against St. Mike’s. The middle school also has some very good cheerleaders coming our way over the next couple of years! Go Hawks!

Next we have the Los Alamos Xtreme!! Which boast 70 kids in football and cheer. The football teams are from age 6-10 and have had huge success over the last few years. Last year the Xtreme represented a team in the Final Four Championship Brackets at every level including cheer.

The 9-10 age group went undefeated all year winning the championship and going on to state where their only loss came to the Albuquerque Bulldogs. The cheerleaders also came home with a championship in their first year of competition! Go Xtreme!

So Toppers, The future looks bright! So sit back enjoy the game and try not to day dream to much about the future! Oh and Go Toppers!
