With school a few weeks away, The Family YMCA is looking to complete its afterschool staff lineup, and is offering a hiring bonus to those who turn in a job application by Aug.3.
The Y is hiring site directors, and counselors 18-years of age and older. said Janine Morales, the Y’s child development director.
“We want creative, professional, driven people who will provide an exceptional afterschool experience for elementary school-age children,” she said. “We now provide childcare for staff’s elementary school-age child while you work. We hope this will help the stay-at-home parent who is thinking about part-time work to consider the Y. You plan, you play, you educate and make sure kids have fun and are safe.”
The positions run from the time school is out until 6 p.m, Monday through Friday, and director positions include paid time to plan offsite, Morales said. Job applications are on the Y’s website, www.laymca.org. If you have questions, you may call Morales at 505.662.3100.
