Y Youth Summer Job Application Deadline March 11

The deadline to turn in applications for The Family YMCA’s summer Youth Conservation Corps trail repair program is 8 a.m. Monday, March 11.
 
Applications turned in before this date are appreciated.
 
Applications may be turned in at the Los Alamos and Española YMCA teen centers by close of business Friday, March 8, or delivered by Monday, March 11 to The Family YMCA, 1450 Iris St. in Los Alamos. The Y is open on weekends and applications may be dropped off March 9 and 10, during business hours at 1450 Iris St.
 
The Y is hiring up to 30 positions. The program is restricted to those ages 14-25.
 
Application packets and job descriptions are available on the Y’s website at www.laymca.org, at the YMCA 1450 Iris St., and at the Los Alamos and Espanola YMCA teen centers.
 
Applications require two reference forms (included in the packet) that must be attached to the application and turned in by March 11.
 
Applicants must be New Mexico residents unemployed at time of hiring. Positions run June 3 to Aug. 2. Trail crew members will earn $10.20/hour, and leaders who must be 21-25 years of age, will earn $12.20/hour. Bus passes will be provided to youth who must commute to the job.
