- Deadline to apply is April 15 … jobs run June 6 to July 29
The Family YMCA is taking applications packages for their Summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program until 6 p.m. April 15. Applicants must be ages 14-25 and New Mexico residents.
Job descriptions and applications are available online at laymca.org/youth-conservation-corps-ycc.
YCC applications also are available at the Los Alamos and Española YMCA teen centers. Early application is appreciated but must be turned in by 6 p.m. Friday, April 15 to The Family YMCA, 1450 Iris St. in Los Alamos, or the teen centers.
Two reference forms, included in the packet, must be completed and reattached when turning in the application.
Positions run June 6 to July 29. Trail crew members will earn $14/hour, and leaders, who must be 18-25 years of age and have trail building experience, will earn $16/hour. The Y also is hiring a Trainer, $18/hour, who must have trail building experience and report-writing skills.
Bus passes will be provided to area youth who must commute to the job.
