In early December, The Family YMCA completed a makeover of its foyer to highlight its Heritage Club donor recognition piece. The tree’s metal leaves name donors to the Y’s endowment program.
The idea of a tree is that it represents a seed that is planted and eventually grows to provide shade, produce oxygen and give a home to living creatures, Y Senior Program Director Diana Martinez said.
”An endowment program is like planting a seed for the future and for others,” she said. The Y also created a ‘word wall’ to welcome everyone.”
