Summer Concert News:
The greatest Summer Concert Series in the state rolls on as Sancre Productions welcomes Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs Friday night to the Ashley Pond Park Pavilion.
Shamarr Allen is the definition of New Orleans. Hailing from the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Allen has influences in jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk rhythms, blues and country. In addition to performing with his band, Allen has collaborated with many renowned artists around the world such as Willie Nelson, Patti LaBelle, Galactic, Harry Connick Jr, and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few.
Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs are sought-after artists for festivals and venues around the world. With a scintillating and unique sound, and exemplary talents, Shamarr Allen transcends musical boundaries. He is the True Orleans experience and will bring high-energy dancing up-tempo music to Ashley Pond. The concert is supported by Los Alamos Pride.
This Friday’s opening act features the Hill Stompers, an award-winning jazzy street band formed in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Hill Stompers musicians and dancers are colorful, creative and just a little bit crazy. They bring energy, sparkly and fun to community events, parades, parties and festivals. The concert’s Youth Musical Performance will feature the Los Alamos Jazz Project. The Los Alamos Jazz Project promotes Jazz in the community through performance and education.

As its fourth concert in the Series, the Sancre Productions team is working in tandem with various Los Alamos County Departments to ensure public safety, ADA accommodations, free parking and shuttle services and a diverse offering of Food Truck Vendors.
As usual, the Youth Performance starts at 6 p.m., the Concert Opening Act begins at 6:30 p.m. and the headliner will perform at 8 p.m. The New Mexico Craft Distillery Garden will offer craft cocktails and beer from Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op, Rolling Still Distillery Bros. and Santa Fe Brewing Company.
