Workplace Violence/Active Shooter Awareness Workshop Friday Nov. 20

La Vista Church is hosting a “Workplace Violence/Active Shooter Awareness and Staying Safe in Places of Worship” workshop Friday, Nov. 20 in Los Alamos.

This workshop will address the issue of violence, especially in places of worship. It will include two videos regarding the active shooter and domestic and intimate partner violence and how it can affect the workplace, schools, churches, etc. And will provide information on the three common options in an active shooter or aggressor situation. The program is sponsored by the Los Alamos Public Safety Association.

This workshop is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at La Vista Church of the Nazarene, 15 Grand Canyon in White Rock. Lunch will be provided, and while the workshop is free there is a $10 fee to offset lunch costs.
