This August the Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum brings its exhibit, “The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico” to festivals, county fairs, and public libraries across the state.
“The Arts of Democracy in New Mexico” honors the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and highlights ideals of freedom and self-government as they have been expressed in art forms, particularly in New Mexico.
See the free exhibit and participate in hands-on learning activities at these upcoming events.

- 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday., Aug. 6: Harding County Fair Fairgrounds in Roy;
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7: Old Lincoln Days in Lincoln;
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8: Old Lincoln Days in Lincoln;
- 12:30-2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12: Portales Community Services Center in Portales;
- 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12: Portales Public Library, 218 S Avenue B in Portales;
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13: Curry County Fair Special Needs Day in Clovis;
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22: Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site Family Day Fiesta in Old Mesilla;
- 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27: Santa Fe Botanical Garden, Back to School Event in Santa Fe; and
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29: Sunflower Fest in Mountainair.
