The National Weather Service reports that a storm system will bring winter weather impacts to portions of New Mexico starting tonight and lasting into Saturday.
Ice accumulations may cause significant travel impacts and isolated power outages, especially across east-central and southeast New Mexico. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for portions of New Mexico as a result.
- Significant travel impacts possible for parts of east-Significant travel impacts possible for parts of east-central and southeast New Mexico from ice accumulations, including the I-40 and U.S. Highways 70/285 corridors.
- Isolated power outages are possible in east central and southeast New Mexico.
- Locally hazardous travel conditions are possible across western New Mexico, particularly in the higher terrain and near the continental divide.
