Winter Snow Moves Into Area

NWS News:

Today: The National Weather Service is forecasting that Los Alamos will experience rain and snow showers, becoming all snow after 11 a.m. today with a high near 37. Breezy conditions will continue with a south wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 21. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind 5 to 10 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday night: A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight.
