Joan Williams and Duane Marr had the best predictions in Tuesday’s Atomic City Road Runners Pace Race, with delta times adjusted to 3 miles of 15 seconds.
The annual staggered-start pace-race/fun-run was held Tuesday on the White Rock bike path. The predictors with the slowest times started first from Piñon/Rocket Park. Starting last were the ones with the fastest times (Jackie Marr and Brian Newnam for 1 mile, and Valerio Pinchetti, Ted Romero, Laura Woodroffe and Nikol Strother for 3 miles).
The best predictors (and the time in seconds that they were off their prediction) for the 1 mile were Joan Williams (5) and Duane Marr (5). For the 3 mile course, the best predictors were Roxana Candia and Zachary Medin (23), David Kratzer (27), and Sanna Sevanto (33).
Next Tuesday’s Pace Race will be 1 and 3 miles at the end of North Mesa on San Ildefonso Road South. The start and finish will be on San Ildefonso below Big Rock Loop. For information, call 505.672.1639 or visit the Atomic City Roadrunner’s website: atomicrunners.com.
