PC/EGA News:

A flock of “wild and crazy” birds will be on display beginning Tuesday through Aug. 15 in the lobby of Mesa Public Library.

Members of Pajarito Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America have decorated the birds with a variety of embroidery techniques.

On Saturday, August 9, between 10 a.m. and noon,

the chapter members will demonstrate the art of embroidery 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 9 in the library lobby. Come and watch the stitchers at work. They’ll be happy to explain the various techniques and answer questions.

For more information, call Marilyn at 505.672.9404.

The EGA is a national educational organization dedicated to promoting and preserving needle arts. The local chapter meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month in Gibson Fellowship Hall of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Los Alamos. September is an exception with the date being the second Monday. Each meeting features a program about a stitching technique or a hands-on project.

Visitors are always welcome.
