What’s Open And Closed At NM Museums For Easter

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs announces that the its museums and historic sites will be closed for Easter Sunday, April 16 except for the Jemez Historic Site, the Museum of Space History and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. 
 
The Jemez Historic Site will be open 7-10 a.m. for an All Faiths Service with the Jemez Valley Baptist Church, Jemez Mountain Baptist Church, Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church participating. After the service, take in the picturesque ruins and scenic vistas.
 
Enjoy a sense of place. Jemez Historic Site is closed for the remainder of the day. Call 575.829.3530 for more information.
 
The New Mexico Museum of Space History and New Horizons Dome Theater in Alamogordo is open noon to 5 p.m., Easter Sunday, and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science in Albuquerque will be open its regular hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 
The four state Museums in Santa Fe—the New Mexico Museum of Art, the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors, the Museum of International Folk Art, and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture—will be closed. In Albuquerque, the National Hispanic Cultural Center Art Museum will be closed. All of the states historic sites will all be closed except for the Jemez Historic Site.
