Volunteers Join Los Alamos Legion Riders In Honoring Veterans During Wreaths Across America Event At Guaje Pines Saturday

Amid adverse weather conditions Saturday, a group of patriotic citizens joined the Los Alamos Legion Riders in honoring all veterans buried at Guaje Pines Cemetary by placing wreaths on each grave as part of the Wreaths Across America national event. The current number of veterans buried at Guaje Pines has reached 362 and monies raised allowed the volunteers to purchase enough wreaths to place one on every veteran’s grave and place 15 on veteran’s graves at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
