Teen Center participants traveled to the Espanola Valley Humane Society Feb. 6, as part of a new volunteering program. The teens had the opportunity to help socialize the shelter animals through play and gentle interactions as well as participate in various other tasks at the Shelter.

This volunteering program is open to high school students. A YMCA van leaves the Los Alamos Teen Center around 3 p.m. each Thursday through February and returns by 5:30 p.m. to the Teen Center.

Space is limited to eight participants so signing up in advance at the Teen Center is recommended. Contact Kim with any questions at kpulliam@laymca.org.
