Volunteer Morrie Pongratz ringing the bell this afternoon at Smith’s Marketplace to help families in Los Alamos County through the office of Self Help, Inc. which serves as the local Salvation Army branch. The generosity of the community helps Los Alamos County families pay for basic needs such as housing, food, utility bills, emergency travel and clothing. Bell ringing continues until Christmas Eve.
