MainStreet News:
The New Mexico Coalition of MainStreet Communities presents “Voices of MainStreet” a collection of four short videos featuring New Mexico MainStreet’s local stories.
These stories highlight MainStreet entrepreneurs, building owners and community members working to restore our buildings, rebuild our great streets, and create economic opportunities in our downtowns. In traditional and historic downtowns, local MainStreet leaders, using the state’s public investment, are making the difference, transforming the local economy and improving our quality of life.
Across our state, people are working together to rebuild their communities. New Mexico MainStreet has produced this series of videos to tell their stories. Over the next few weeks, we will be launching these videos on Facebook and invite you to learn more about the people, businesses and places that are the Voices of MainStreet New Mexico.
“New Mexico MainStreets, Arts & Cultural Districts, and Frontier Projects can be found in urban and rural communities across our state.” says Lisa Pellegrino Spear, President of the New Mexico Coalition of MainStreet Communities and Executive Director of Clovis MainStreet. “They all have a common story. People who are passionate about the places they call home. People who are determined to create vibrant economies, jobs, and places for people to gather. These videos begin to tell these stories.”
Each success story starts with one passionate person. People who want to make a difference in their community – visionaries, business builders, creatives, connectors and grassroots organizers who dig in and create change.
Join us over the next few weeks as we celebrate these people and places with the launch of the Voices of MainStreet video series and launch them on the New Mexico MainStreet Facebook page each Thursday in September. (Sept. 6,13,21,27). We will send your reminder notices and links to the videos.
