COMMUNITY News:
​The Voices of Los Alamos will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Unitarian Church. The meeting is open to the public and agenda items include PED science standards, the ongoing issue with the Sheriff office and the ECO Challenge.
Los Alamos County Community Development Director Paul Andrus will be the speaker at the meeting. He will discuss affordable housing and vacant houses.
Mission statement: Voices of Los Alamos is a non-partisan, progressive advocacy group created as a way for Los Alamos residents to voice their concerns over the current political events (both at the state and at the federal levels).
It strives to build community, educate, discuss, and enact action plans, with a focus on the following issues: social justice, women’s rights, human rights, education, environment, health care, gun safety, election reform.
