Vintage Hair Company is celebrating its first year anniversary Jan. 1 at 3500 Trinity Dr., Suite A1 in Los Alamos.

“We are a women’s, men’s and children’s salon that offers cuts, color and men’s grooming services,” owner/stylist Chelsea Bartlett said. “In 2017 we will start to carry Aveda hair products as well as Aveda color, which we are so excited to bring to our sweet town!”

Bartlett was professionally trained at the respected Aveda Institute of New Mexico. Once she completed her schooling, Bartlett began working at Mark Pardo Salon and Spa in Albuquerque as a color specialist. There she developed her knowledge, skills and abilities as a stylist and make-up artist, she said.

“After relocating to Los Alamos, I quickly recognized the need for a customer-focused salon that would provide high quality services for the local residents,” she said.

Bartlett spoke about the master barber/stylist working for her at the salon.

“Vanessa Barela is our master barber/stylist,” Bartlett said. “She is excited to take care of our men and women guests, offering excellent color, style and barbering services. And we’re happy to announce that Vanessa offers straight razor shaves.”

We offer men’s and women’s cuts, styling, updos, hair treatments and special events styling, she said, and a full range of color, highlight and corrective color services as well as make-up application.
