NMDVS News:
Producers are looking for “extras” for a TV series and sequel to a hit movie, which are now being shot here in New Mexico.
The WGN-TV series Manhattan is being shot in and around Santa Fe. Segments of the movie Independence Day 2 is being shot in Albuquerque. Producers of both projects are looking for veterans and “military-type” males for these “paying” jobs. Both projects require all-day availability.
Applicants between ages 18-60 are sought. “Extras” for scenes requiring “clean-cut military types” are especially in need. Wounded Warriors also are encouraged to apply. These roles pay $10.66 an hour—with a daily eight-hours guaranteed, and time-and-a-half for any work performed past eight hours a day. Meals will be provided.
Questions and submittals can be e-mailed to olcmanhattan@gmail.com. Please put “Military Role” in the subject line. You can also call 505.388.0018 for more information. Be sure to include a recent photo of yourself, your first and last name and contact number.
Producers also are looking for people of all types for future extra work on Manhattan. More information about this can be found on the “Manhattan” Facebook page or at www.onlocationcasting.us to register.
