VCT News:
The Valles Caldera Trust Board of Trustees will conduct a meeting in public 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 11 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 60 Entrada Dr., in Los Alamos.
The agenda includes an update on public access and use, planning, a review of post fire conditions and the introduction of new Executive Director Jorge Silva-Bañuelos. Silva-Bañuelos was named to the post May 28 after the Board completed a nationwide search. He fills the vacancy created when Dennis Trujillo retired in January.
Public comments will be heard after the last report with adjournment scheduled immediately thereafter. Links to the agenda and map to the Trust administrative offices are posted on the Trust’s website at http://goo.gl/HRpCBC .
The Valles Caldera Preservation Act requires that the trustees meet in sessions open to the public at least three times per year in the state of New Mexico and that any final decision of the Board to approve any activity related to the management of the land or resources of the Preserve shall be made in open public session.
