Valentine’s Sale for Students’ Europe 2014 Trip

By LYNN OVASKA

“If you are looking for another chance to support Los Alamos students and educational travel, Europe 2014 travelers are having a Chocolate, Coffee and Flower Sale in the lobby of Los Alamos National Bank 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Valentine’s Day.

The 15 high school seniors touring Europe this summer have been selling fair trade, organic coffee over the last few months and it is a hit. Stop by LANB tomorrow afternoon to purchase your Valentine a meaningful gift.

This amazing group of travelers appreciates the outpouring of support of their educational travel. The goal of Europe 2014 is to expand the world view of Los Alamos’ young adults and help them develop skills for our global economy before they head off to college. Funds raised through tomorrow’s sale will cover some of the tour costs for famous historical sites such as the Anne Frank’s house and the Palace of Versailles.

If you cannot make it to the Valentine’s Sale but would like to purchase coffee, contact Lynn Ovaska at lynnovaska@gmail.com. Coffee is $12 for a 10 oz. bag, whole bean or ground, in French Roast, Dark Roast, Medium Roast, and Decaf. Coffee is a perfect gift for the holidays, a great way to support local youth on educational travel, and an endorsement of international Fair Trade practices. Because the group cares about global issues, they decided to sell Fair Trade coffee to support hard-working farmers and their families throughout the world.

Or feel free to make a direct donation to the group. Checks can be made payable to: Europe 2014, Account #01-424637-01, and sent to LANB.
