Looking for a way to send someone you love a special Valentine? Europe 2015 student travelers are putting together personalized Valentine’s packages filled with gifts for everyone.
If you have a loved one far away, here is your chance to send them a Valentine package and support the educational travel of 14 local high school seniors. For $30, Europe 2015 travelers will fill a Valentine’s Care (about YOU) Package with treats such as hand-written notes, chocolates, candy, homemade treats, hot chocolate, tea, stuffed animals, heart-filled gifts, Valentine’s surprises and special requests. It can be customized for the age or interest of the recipient such as school supplies for college students, green chile for faraway chefs, stickers for a grandchild in another state.
To order, send a message with name, age and address of recipient, along with any food restrictions or special requests to Europe 2015 Group Leader, Lynn Ovaska at email@example.com by Sunday, Feb. 8. Checks made payable to Europe 2015.
Europe 2015 has been fundraising this year to cover some of the cost of the group’s tour of Italy and Greece next June. Europe 2015 travelers have loved sharing excitement with community members about their educational tour while selling their tasty bags of Fair Trade, organic coffee and their creative crafts. Coffee is still available and will be sold again in the next few weeks. Their College Care Packages were so successful in the fall, they wanted to offer the Valentine’s care packages for more than just college students.
As with past tours, the goal of Europe 2015 is to expand the world view of Los Alamos’ young adults before they head off to college. As they witness new cultures first-hand and experience history usually only learned in textbooks, these 2015 graduates will develop skills to be global citizens and an independent adult.
