Update: Weather Delays Trinity Drive Road Work

COUNTY News:

Westbound N.M. 502 / Trinity Drive continues to be closed at 7th Street to repair an isolated portion of the roadway. Recent rains have hindered efforts to compact the road base and forced area asphalt plants to close. Weather permitting, all work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, May 19.

Crews discovered water intrusion under the roadbed created a small sinkhole. Although the source of the water has not been identified, measures have been placed to help mitigate further effects.  Public Works and Utilities staff continue to work together to help identify the source.

Traffic continues to be managed as follows:

  • All westbound NM502/Trinity Drive traffic can access DP Road and businesses up to the Meri-Mac Shopping Center entrance at 7th Street.
  • All westbound NM502/Trinity Drive thru traffic is detoured to Central, then 15th Street and then back to Trinity.
  • Eastbound NM502/Trinity Drive traffic is not affected.

Direct questions or concerns about the work to the Public Works Department at 505.662.8150 or send an email to lacpw@lacnm.us.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
