Update: All Lanes Open Following Accident On NM 502

COUNTY News:

The area has been cleared and all lanes of traffic reopened on N.M. 502 following a rollover accident  reported at approximately 1:15 p.m. today, which involved no other vehicles.

As of 4:22 p.m., New Mexico Department of Transportation, with the assistance of Los Alamos and Santa Fe counties had created a temporary lane shift around the accident to reopen N.M. 502 eastbound traffic flow.

Eastbound traffic was merged to one lane in the westbound travel lanes of N.M. 502, leaving one lane for westbound traffic.

Motorists were advised to exercise caution and follow all traffic control devices. Traffic delays were expected until the area was cleared and all lanes reopened.

Los Alamos Police and the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office remained on the scene until the area was cleared.
