After seven years as executive director of UNM-Los Alamos, Cedric Page is stepping down July 1 and will assume full-time duties as a tenured professor.

“I plan to teach several geography and social science courses and participate in various service, grant and research activities. Engaging students in learning about global, national and regional concepts and contemporary issues will be an exciting way of continuing my contribution to UNM-LA,” Page said. “During the last seven years, UNM-Los Alamos has become an important and highly regarded educational institution in northern New Mexico. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and commitment of many former and present UNM-LA faculty and staff, and friends.”

Page explained that he intends to remain engaged in the academic, career and success activities and programs that have been developed for the students, and in the partnerships forged in the Los Alamos community and throughout northern New Mexico.

“During this transition, I will assist Dr. Wynn Goering who will assume administrative responsibility for the campus,” Page said.

Goering is CEO of UNM West, Special Assistant to the President for Branch Affairs at the University of New Mexico.
