UNM-LA News:

The University of New Mexico-Los Alamos would like UNM-LA students and parents of children participating in the Career Exploration Programs beginning Monday, June 1, to be aware that parking will be limited on the UNM-LA campus due to road construction.

The Los Alamos County Western Area Phase 3 Project is currently underway and access to the parking lot behind the UNM-LA campus has been closed until the project is completed later in June. The work will include grading, widening, repaving, infrastructure improvements, and new curbs.

Overflow parking will be available in the Sullivan Field parking lot accessed from Diamond Drive. Those trying to find a parking spot on campus are asked to observe the designated handicapped parking spaces.

“We are excited for the planned improvements that will enable safe, two-lane traffic along the back road to the parking lot,” UNM-LA Business Operations Manager Lisa Wismer said.

For questions or concerns regarding parking on the UNM-LA campus during the construction, call 505.662.5919.
