Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation News:

  • Looking for a Way to Encourage Students as they Finish out the School Year?

The Superintendent’s Project Challenge is receiving lots of entries with many inspiring, expressive and sometimes hilarious projects.

An unexpected upside of students being at home with time on their hands is the incredible creative treasure that has resulted. The Challenge encourages students to use their time doing something they love and enter the project (online) in the competition.

It’s an opportunity for LAPS students of all ages from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade to keep learning while having fun and inspiring others. Cash prizes are funded by Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation.

Based on the overwhelming response so far, the judging committee will continue to have a hard time selecting winners for the next three rounds!

You can help by donating money to support more cash awards for students. Let’s encourage the students in our community who are still learning and thriving in innovative ways despite the current circumstances.

We just received a donation for a special prize for a history project for this round of winners. Students, see https://www.losalamoshistory.org/historyathome.html for ideas, or choose your own idea that relates to history.
