U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce Announces 2018 Congressional Art Competition Winner

Washington, D.C. –  U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce has announced that McKenzie Evans of Lordsburg High School in Lordsburg is the winner of the 2018 Congressional Art Competition for the Second Congressional District of New Mexico.

“I congratulate McKenzie on being our winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition. This nationwide competition is an incredible way to highlight talented young people in each Congressional District. I look forward to meeting McKenzie when she visits D.C. for the unveiling ceremony,” Rep. Pearce said.

Since the Congressional Art Competition was created in 1982, hundreds of thousands of high school students from around the country have participated at the local level. The winning entry from each district will be displayed on the grounds of the United States Capitol for one year.
