Two Public Forums On Ballot Questions Set For October

COUNTY News:

Two ballot questions related to charter changes for Structure of Government and Utilities will be going to voters in the Nov. 4 General Election.

Two forums are slated for October to allow the community an opportunity to learn more about the issues before voting:

  • Utilities’ – proposed charter changes at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge; and
  • Structure of Government – proposed charter changes at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge

First the panel members representing the “pros and cons”  will speak followed by a question and answer period.

Refreshments will be served at both events, which are sponsored by Los Alamos County and facilitated by the League of Women Voters.

Note: The Oct. 9 forum will end at approximately 6:30 p.m. because of a forum for congressional candidates Ben Ray Lujan Jr and Jeffrey Byrd that begins at 7 p.m. in the same location.
