COMMUNITY News:

A group of Los Alamos women got together and re-painted the tunnel entrance near the roundabout on Diamond Drive Monday.

The tunnel was originally painted about 10 years ago with flowers. But time had taken its toll and the paint was deteriorating. Local resident Amy Storey worked with Perry Rutherford at the County to get the paint and have the wall power-washed.

Ericka Becker became involved in the project as the designer. The wall was primed and the re-paint completed Monday, primarily by Storey and Ericka and Piper Wohlbier. It took about six hours. They also had support from Rep. Stephanie Garcia Richard and her daughter as well as Robin Shultz and Karyl Ann Armbruster.
