Tuff Riders Bike & Gear Swap June 7

TUFF RIDERS News:

The Bike & Gear Swap is a fundraising event for the Los Alamos Tuff Riders, the local nonprofit Mountain Bike Association chapter.

This third annual event is a great opportunity to sell items no longer needed and purchase at a deep discount those things one just can’t live without. The Bike & Gear Swap is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at the Co+op Market. Professional mechanics will provide free bike safety checks during the Bike Swap.

To sell items, drop off equipment at the Co+op noon to 7 p.m. June 5 and June 6 or 7-8:30 a.m. June 7. Items will not be accepted after 8:30 a.m. Ask for the General Manager at the customer service desk. Allow time to fill out sales tickets and attach them to the items. The Co+op will securely store all dropped-off equipment.

Sellers receive 85 percent of the ticket price for all items sold, and 15 perent of the proceeds go to Tuff Riders. The Co+op will pay sellers starting at 2 p.m. following the Bike & Gear Swap. Sellers will receive payments as cash for amounts under $100 and checks for amounts exceeding $100.

Sellers who do not pick up their proceeds by 9 p.m. June 7 will obtain a check via mail if an address is provided. Pick up any unsold items between 1-9 p.m. immediately following the Bike & Gear Swap. Any items not picked up by 9 p.m. will be donated to a local non-profit.

The Los Alamos Co+op Market can be found at two locations: 95 Entrada Dr. and inside Fusion Multisport on Central across from CB FOX. Check the website www.losalamos.coop or call the Co+op 505.695.1579 for more information.
