The Tuesdays at the Pond Entertainment Series continues Tuesday, July 25 with our own Los Alamos Community Winds. Brought to you by the Los Alamos Creative District, the concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Ashley Pond Park stage.
The Los Alamos Community Winds is a wind ensemble made up of members of the Los Alamos, NM community. It is comprised of both amateur and professional musicians of all ages and backgrounds from middle and high school students to retirees in the area. Check them out at: https:////bit.ly/2tmZ7oT. The 2017 Summer Entertainment Series has featured a wide variety of musical acts, which continue every Tuesday night through August 8. Performances range from a professional wind ensemble to an R&B artist, a folk rock group to a big brass band, and everything in between.
The Los Alamos Creative District directs a variety of programs that bring people to downtown Los Alamos. On Tap is a series of discussions and libations located downtown every first and third Thursday of the month. First Thursdays feature rotating themes of history, nature and art hosted by the Los Alamos Historical Society, Pajarito Environmental Education Center, or Fuller Lodge Art Center respectively. Science On Tap by the Bradbury Science Museum is every third Thursday of the month.
