Do you ever struggle to find the perfect gift for your loved ones? Would you like to do your holiday shopping a little differently this year?
It’s hard to shop for some people because they already have everything they want or because you want to give something unique or with significance. Alternative giving or graceful giving is a form of gift giving that has a symbolic value to the recipient and benefits a meaningful cause at the same time.
Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church at 3900 Trinity Dr. will host an Alternative Giving Fair 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 in Kelly Hall.
The community is invited to attend and invite friends to support the following local nonprofits:
- Mesa to Mesa
- Los Alamos Council on Cancer/Susan G. Komen/American Cancer Society Relay for Life
- Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program
- HOPE Pregnancy Center
- Episcopal Relief and Development – Gifts for Life
- Famine to Feast
- Trinity on the Hill House of Hope
- Habitat for Humanity
- Self Help, Inc
- Pajarito Environmental Education Center
- United Way of Northern New Mexico
- The Family YMCA
Simplify holiday gift-giving by donating in honor of others while also reducing the holiday stress associated with frantic consumerism. In exchange for your donation, you will receive an item such as a membership, donation card, gift certificate, or small token to give in lieu of a traditional gift.
Give a gift that makes an impression while making a difference!
