Trick-or-Treat On MainStreet Is Oct. 30

Get those costumes ready! Los Alamos MainStreet hosts Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet in downtown Los Alamos 4-6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30.

Last year more than 4,000 people attended the event. Local businesses and organizations open their doors and set up tables along Central Avenue to hand out treats to costumed trick-or-treaters.

A performance by Dance Arts Los Alamos begins at 4:30 p.m., followed at 5 p.m. by High Flyers Gymnastics. The Pet Costume Parade marches down Central at 5:30 p.m. followed at 6 p.m. by a New Mexico Dance Theater performance.

Find a complete event list at Other activities include Trick-or-Treating 3-5 p.m. at Los Alamos Medical Center, High Tech Halloween 4-6:30 p.m. at the Bradbury Science Museum and the Costume Climb 6-8 p.m. at the YMCA on Iris Street.

Festivities continue Saturday, Oct. 31 with pumpkin carving 10 a.m. to noon at Smith’s Marketplace. A Masquerade Recital starts at 3:30 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. The Los Alamos Arts Council hosts the annual Pumpkin Glow 6-9 p.m. on the lawn at Fuller Lodge. Los Alamos MainStreet will provide entertainment by The Nomads 6:30-9 p.m. inside Fuller Lodge.
