Transportation Board Vice Chair Elise Uphoff Resigning, Candidates Sought to Fill Vacancy

It’s been announced at tonight’s T-Board meeting now in progress that Los Alamos County Transportation Board Vice Chair Elise Uphoff is moving out of town so will be resigning her position on the board. This leaves a vacancy and Chair Randall Ryti just asked for applications from the public in the coming days. The purpose of the Transportation Board is to advise the County Council and make recommendations regarding improvements in traffic conditions and all modes of transportation within the County. The County Staff Liaison is Public Works Director Philo Shelton and Council Liaison is Councilor Rick Reiss. The board is authorized under the County Code Chapter 8, Article XI, Sections 2-281 through 8-283. The board is comprised of seven members serving two-year terms beginning March 1 and ending Feb 28.
