SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) continues bridge rehabilitation work on N.M. 502 at mile marker 11 at the Otowi Bridge over the Rio Grande between Pojoaque and Los Alamos.
Monday, Aug. 6 on N.M. 502, a concrete wall barrier will be placed through the work zone. Traffic will be switched over to the westbound lanes. There will be one lane of travel in each direction on the westbound lanes.
Once work is completed, the contractor, Hasse Contracting Company, Inc. of Albuquerque, will switch traffic to the east side. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September.
Motorists can expect delays during this time. Drivers are urged to watch for workers in the area, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted speed limit. Updates on this project will be posted on the NMDOT road advisory website at http://nmroads.com/.
NMDOT thanks the public for its patience during this bridge improvement project.
