Toppers Soccer Team Wins 2023 Cernicek Tournament!

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers Boys Soccer Team won the 26th annual Cernicek Tournament played last weekend at Sullivan Field.

The Toppers invited seven premier teams to participate in the tournament. The Toppers first game was against the Capital Jaguars, which went into 3 overtimes and a shootout to decide the winner, Toppers 1-1.

The Toppers second game was played against the Artesia Bulldogs, which the Toppers won 3-0.

The Championship game was played against the Lovington Wildcats, which the Toppers won 1-0.

Louie Cernicek’s wife Mary Catherine attended the tournament and handed out trophies.
