Thirty four kills with just two service errors led the way for the Hilltoppers to silence the Pintos Thursday evening in Moriarty.
Los Alamos played well and persevered through a tough first and second set. The Hilltoppers continued to improve and defend their district title.
Elise Olivas played a tremendous game overcoming some early jitters, she had 5 aces and 1 service error and scored 13 points on serve. She also had 34 assists and only 2 ball handling errors in the 4 sets.
The Hilltoppers took control in sets 3 and 4 with overall strong defense and timely hitting and placement.
It also seemed that Los Alamos was fresher in those sets with more energy and drive.
Los Alamos will focus on Espanola who comes calling at 6 p.m., Thursday at home as the Hilltoppers look to go to 6-0 in District.
