Topper Girls Soccer Beats Moriarty 5-1

SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School girls soccer team began district play Tuesday with a strong performance beating Moriarty 5-1. Crisp passing and solid defense were key to the victory.

Topper defenders Katie Osburn, Kyla Petersen, Meredith Brown, Jennie Gao and Paetyn Miller performed well. Strong midfield play from Laila Carter, Olivia Bell, Aaliyah Walker and McKenzie Echave was the difference in the game.

Tara McDonald led the attack with 2 goals and 2 assists while Brown, Bell and Estella Remillieux rounded out the scoring with Anika Lovato picking up an assist.

The Toppers continued district play Thursday when they took on the Taos Tigers.
