SPORTS News:
The Los Alamos High School Topper Boys soccer team played host to the Pojoaque Elks Tuesday afternoon at Sullivan Field.
The weather was cold and windy, but that did not slow the Toppers from shutting out the Elks 10-0 and closing down the game early.
The Elks were no match for the powerful Topper offense and defense. In spite of the score, the game was exciting to watch with good fast action by both teams.
The win gave the Toppers an overall record of 12-2-1 and in district a record of 3-0 for a first place in District 4A -2.
The Toppers next outing is an away game today against Moriarty.
