The Family YMCA Annual July 4th Kids Parade
10 a.m., Saturday. Kids and kids at heart are asked to meet at the “elephant statue” at Ashley Pond Park. The parade will start shortly after 10 a.m.
White Rock July 4th Celebration
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 366 Grand Canyon. The Children’s Parade begins after a brief flag ceremony at 10 a.m. and singing of the national anthem. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from various area units will lead the parade carrying the colors. A carnival will follow the parade on the shady back lawn of the church. All games, prizes, refreshments, and visiting are free. There will be balloons, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and ice water for everyone. The carnival will end shortly after noon.
The Los Alamos Police Department will be issuing wristbands to children
Overlook Park for the 4th of July festivities as a part of the TAG YOUR TOTS initiative. Parents may come to the LAPD information tent that will be set up in the south west corner of the Paul Spirio soccer fields at overlook park.

Young Native Artists Show & Sale
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 4 and 5, in the Palace Courtyard in Santa Fe
Begins at noon behind the Bandelier Visitor Center. Eighteen candidates from nine countries, after working for years to fulfill their requirements, will be taking the oath and becoming the newest citizens of the United States.
